Gallensäuren


Gallensäuren sind für die Fettverdauung essentiell, greifen aber auch regulierend in den Energiestoffwechsel ein.

Gallensäuren werden in der Leber hergestellt und in den Darm abgegeben, wo sie der Resorption von Fetten und fettlöslichen Vitaminen dienen. Die Säuren gelangen dabei über den Blutkreislauf zurück zur Leber, so dass ein geschlossener Gallensäurekreislauf entsteht.

Tierversuche haben gezeigt, dass die orale Aufnahme von Gallensäuren zu einem verringerten Gewichtsanstieg und zu einem höheren Energieverbrauch führt und dass nach einen Magenbypassoperation der Gallensäurespiegel im Blut ansteigt.
